I can’t believe tomorrow is my one year wedding anniversary! I’m not really sure where this past year has gone, but it’s been amazing to be a wife to my best friend. Corny I know, but it’s true. Our wedding day was truly a labor of love, we did so many DIY projects, but it was totally worth it and was so cool to see it all come together in the end and to get to celebrate with our friends and family.
Some of our major DIY projects included building our wedding tables and doing the flowers. My husband is a contractor and I work for FiftyFlowers so it was nice to incorporate what we do into our wedding day. And having help from family and friends was a must and we were so grateful for everything they did. Like my wonderful MIL, who went to garage sales and thrift stores to source all our mismatched vintage-style plates, and the amazing Lori Dyer who made all of our birch bark vases.
