As if wedding planning wasn’t hard enough, some couples also agonise over whether to invite the kids or not. This infographic from The Wedding Band Shop takes you through what to keep in mind if you’re inviting the kids, and if you’re not. Remember that it is entirely your decision, so don’t stress about it too much either way.
Kids can bring a lot of fun to the day, but if you do invite them, you need to ensure you’re prepared. The three trickiest parts of the day are the ceremony, the speeches, and the meal. For example, the kids may get a little bored during the speeches so it’s a good idea to have entertainment packs at tables to keep them occupied. Try to have a different activity pack for all the different age groups.
If you’re not inviting kids, try to inform your guests early. They may need to book a babysitter for the day of your wedding well in advance. Don’t stress too much as many parents will appreciate the day off! Find out more in the infographic about how to entertain kids at weddings and how to phrase the invitation if kids aren’t invited.
