Herbs: A Twist on Greenery

fiftyflowers-herbs-feature

You might be wondering how herbs could possibly be used as wedding flowers, but it is definitely possible and incredibly beautiful! Not only is this look gorgeous and simple, it is easier on the wallet than a larger flower order and has truly unlimited potential. Herbs will also add a lovely scent to your wedding or event!

From all-herb weddings to accent pieces, there are countless uses for these delicious smelling greens at your event! You can bundle a variety of herbs up and tie with twine for a simple and natural bouquet. Pair with some lisianthus, succulents, kale or wax flower for a wildflower theme or use just a few sprigs as an accent to finish off a large bouquet of peonies or roses. Use the herbs to create natural, usable wedding favors such as herb infused oils, candles or potted herb plants. Herbs would go great with a soft muted color palette that include hues of lavender, grey, green or blue and all of them can also be dried to create a completely unique look!

Not only do herbs add a lovely aroma to your event, they also have deep meaning and symbolism. Rosemary represents loyalty, love and fidelity. Lavender represents devotion. Sage symbolizes wisdom and long life. What better way to start a life or celebrate a milestone than with flowers that mean something?

Some of the most popular herbs include Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Mint and Bayleaf, but there are so many to choose from! Come over to our Herb section and check out our selection. We offer several fresh cut varieties and a couple dried options as well! If you are someone that loves natural, organic things, than herbs might be just what you’re looking for! Take a look at some inspiration photos below and let us know what you think!
